CANADA OPTIMISTIC ON FINANCE TALKS "Constructive Results Possible In Washington

BUT NO REAL SOLUTION

Washington, September 6. The Canadian Finance Minister, Mr. Douglas Abbott, expects some really constructive results from the Anglo-American-Canadian money talks which open here tomorrow,

He told a news conference he was optimistic but did not look for any com

plete answers to the British dollar crisis.

The Canadian Government, Mr. Abbott said, will have no immediate sug- gestions to make at the start of the conference, but may be in a posi- tion to make some constructive suggestions toward the close of the talks. He declined to say what those suggestions might be.
