Sole Candidate In Portugal Election
Lisbon, February 12, Portugal votes tomorrow to elect a Prosident but only. one candidate now romains in the lists--Mar- shal Antonio Oscar Carmona, 79-year-old hood of the Republic.
His opponent, General Norton de Motos, 81-year-old Opposition leader, withdrew from the election fast night because he had not received suf- ficient guarantees from the Government of the seriouness of the election.
His withdrawal caused gen- eral disappointment to both Government and Opposition supporters. Although Genera! As my firm's export manager, I. find it pays to do business with a man and not just an address. Correspondence is cut to the bone, misunderstandings are prevented, problems are discussed and solved right on the spot..
That's where Speedbird service and B.O.A.C.'s more than 72,000 miles of world-wide air routes come in. B.O.A.C. usually flies where I want to go, and Speedbird service gets me or my freight there in a hurry and right on schedule. Arranging my trips is easy. The local B.Q.A.C. Appointed Agent fixes everything." No crowds or confusion, and no red tape. Everything goes like clock-work, but with this important difference: there's the personal touch!
“About the actual flight... It's good, really good-from beginning to end. "If you're
hungry, you can eat wonderful food-"on the house" too. If you're tired, the comfortable seats practically full you to sleep. Everything and I mean everything— reflects B.O.A.C.'s 80-year-old tradition of Speedbird service and Speedbird experience.
