A casual remark made to # counter-c'erk in a small Post Of- fice in Scotland led to Ralph Ian Smith, twenty-five, n soldier. pleading guilty at the Old Bailey to obtaining money by means of forged Post Office Savings Bank books and withdrawal forms.
Smith was sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment. The total sum involved was £60.

The Committee reports with very much regret the resignation of Mr. R. A. D. Furrest, who had been the Honorary Treasurer of the League since its inception.
