OUTSTANDING RESULT IN SATURDAY'S CRICKET PROGRAMME WAS THE FINE VIC TORY OF INDIAN RECREATION CLUB SENIOR ELEVEN OVER HONG KONG CRICKET CLUB IN A MATCH AT SOOKUNPOO.
FOR THIS FINE PERFORMANCE THEY HAVE TO THANK A. R. MINU. FOR SOME STEADY BOWLING, AND K. NAZARIN FOR A HARD-HIT INNINGS OF 74 NOT OUT.
K.C.C. could not repeat their opening-match vic. tory over Recreio at King's Park and failing light caused play to be abandoned before the scheduled time for drawing stumps.
Craigengower all but beat Civil Service at the Valley but Perry and Richardson, who both went an much later than usual, foiled them, and C S. C. C. won by the narrowest of margins.
