IMPORTANT LEAGUE

CRICKET

MATCHES

Draws In "Needle" Ties Will Give K.C.C. Title

JUNIOR LEAGUE IS STILL VERY OPEN

(By “ADREM”)

ALTHOUGH CHIEF INTEREST in League cricket will be centred on the match at King's Park this afternoon be- tween Recreio and Kowloon Cricket Club, another import- ant match will take place at Sookunpoo between Army and Craigengower.

The latter team, thanks to their -sensational defeat of Recreio on

:Saturday, are now in the running for LADIES' HOCKEY the championship, on the same foot- ing as Recreio. If Recreio are suc- cessful this afternoon and beat Uni- versity, as they are almost certain to do; Kowloon draw or lóse next week, Craigengower win against Army and again against Civil Service, matters will become complicated!

I don't think, however, that things will become as involved as all that. I doubt the ability of Craigengower to -score an outright victory against the greatly-improved Army I feel it is about time Capt. Grose came off-and

similarly, I don't think that K. C. C. are capable of beating Recreio.

If both these matches are drawn, therefore, Recreio and Crafgengower, with two draws and a loss each, will

be ruled out, and . K. C. C. will be champions, for even a defeat by 1. R. C. will still leave them in better position than the other two teams.
