If France and Britain are to be or- ganised as a single unit there is no reason why British divisions which are to replace French troops should not be equipped with 75mm, field guns of which France has a large supply und a very big output. As I pointed out yesterday, the American Army fought in 1918 with French light and British heavy artillery. The proposal to standardise and pool weapons of all kinds will shock the specialists of both Britain and France; but it would im- mensely accelerate the date at which our strength will make itself felt.

FORGED BUS TICKET CASE
The Kowloon Bus Company forged ticket case opened this morning at the Sessions before the Chief Justice, Sir Atholl Macgregor. Six men and a woman were charged, and Li Sang and Wong Wah, former employees of the company, pleaded guilty.
Wu Wing, Ho On, Hong Lee and Chan Tai, the woman defendant, pleaded not guilty.

Mr. Remedios said that both his clients had been out of employment for a con- siderable time. They were given the pills by a man named Tang Shiu- sang who gave them 40 cents each to newcomers to the Colony and did not deliver the pills. His clients were know the seriousness of the offence.
