RIERTSEN BACK TO K'LOON THREE

TEAM

(By "REFEREE")

The second round of First and Third- Divisions of Hong Kong Football League start to-day when three senior games, the best of which should be the game be- tween St. Joseph's and South China “A” at Caroline Hill, will be played.

The Bainis will be strengthened by the in- clusion of B. Gosano in the attack and it is probable that A. V. Gosano may also turn out this afternoon. The Chinese will be without Lee Wal-long and Lau Tau-man.

In the first game St. Joseph's lost by 6 goala to but Lee Wai-tong obtained four goals for his side, and. with the Saints strengthened, they should fully extend the

champions.

Kowloon, who are in the running for the runners-up position, meel Navy at Railway ground and should win with home advan- tage, Rlertsen will be seen in that Main landers' attack for the first time this season while Everest's place will be taken by Dawca.

An even game should be witnessed at Boundary Street between Royal Scots and Police with a draw the probably result.

Royal Boots, who are in camp, are unfor- tunale in having several players on the sick Hat with malaria and this has caused an all 'round 'shuffling of their three teams which at ond Ume were doing well.

On 'Christmas day and Boxing day

the Bemi-Final rounds of the "Sunday Herald" International Charity Cup competition will be played.

GAMES

(By "ADREM")

Unlike several previous Saturdays senior cricket teams will be well in evidence this afternoon, there being three matches in 'which First Division | clubs will be engaged.

Hong Kong Cricket Club, playing at King's Park, will be all out to avenge their pre- vious crushing defeat at the hands of Re- erelo. As their team, as announced, is not very strong, however, it is more than prob- able that Recreio, who are always 50 per cent, better on their own ground, will win once again.

Another keen game should result from the "xture at Sookunpoo, where I R.C. entertain K.C.C. The game at Kowloon between these *eams a fortnight ago ended in A draw. featured by the fine innings of E. F. Fin- cher, who made 70 not out, and there is likely to be a similar result to-day 28 neither attack appears formidable enough to get the other side out quickly enough. 1

Other senior game is between University, and C.S.C.C. and although the former side have had a comparatively good season, they are unlikely the beat the well-balanced Civil, Servants.

4.

Junior matches should result in wins for. Recreio, K.C.C.. R.A.F. and Royal En- gineers.
