The hearing was closed to both press and public at the preacher's request. Only two witnesses were called. Miss Marquerite Morgan, a red-haired beauty shop operator, said the Jeffers invited her to din- ner at their apartment on swank Wilshire Boulevard last March 9.
"When I arrived,” she said, “Mrs. Jeffers was naked. Dr. Jeffers sug- gested that we have a few drinks. We drank some champagne."
Then, she said, Dr. Jeffers brought out a "little red book” of animated pictures.

"We looked at it," she continued, "and then all three of us went into the bedroom and Dr. Jeffers took off his clothes.”
She said she had not taken part in what followed, but that she had spent the night, sleeping alone in one of the twin beds.

Dr. Jeffers is a former Baptist minister who came here from Texas several years ago and set up
his own church in a small frame building.
The Prosecutor, Mr. Ernst Roll charged that he had been COR- demning Jews and Catholics from his pulpit and had once declared that "if we killed 25 of our leading Jews, we would be able to get back control of our money system.”
Mr. Roll said that he had, been "praying for the deaths of certain Deputy District Attorneys."
Rev. Jeffers denied he was anti- Semitic or anti-Catholic.
