A few famous yacht-building firms around the coast are now adopting mass- production methods in the building of small craft. Camper and Nicholson's, at Gosport, are mass-producing six 30- ft. sloops; on the Sussex coast Hill- yards and Osbornes, at Littlehampton, are mass-producing auxiliary schooners and cutters, whilst at Lymington, in the West Solent, a number of D- and 12-ton auxiliary cruisers are on the stocks. Silver's yard, at Rosneath, on the Clyde, build the largest number of mass-produced small motor yachts in Great Britain.
