H.M.S. REPULSE

MAY NOT GO TO CANADA

LONDON, TO-DAY.

THE KING AND QUEEN, WHO WERE TO HAVE TRA- VELLED TO CANADA IN THE BATTLESHIP "REPULSE," MAY, SAYS THE "YORKSHIRE POST," MAKE THE JOURNEY IN A LINER INSTEAD.

Reason is, says the paper, that owing to the international situa- tion, H.M.S. Repulse cannot, in the view of the Admiralty, be spared.

For the same reason, the re- moval of guns from the fore-part of the battleship has not taken place, and certain structural al- terations which had been contem- plated, have not been proceeded with. Trans-Ocean.
