Paris, To-day. At the conclusion of the French Cabinet meeting, which lasted 21⁄2 hours on Tuesday night, the following communique was issued: "The Cabinet meeting, presided over by the Pre- mier, M. Daladier, after an examination of the foreign political situation, has passed the mea- sures decided upon by the conference of minis- ters of National Defence on Tuesday morning. "The Cabinet also examined a number of new mea- sures which will, on Wednesday, be submitted to the President of the Republic, M. Lebrun.”

According to competent quarters, the British proposals, communicat- ed by the Egyptian Ambassador in London, Machat Pasha, are regarded as a suitable basis of discussion.
They will be communicated and recommended to the leaders of the Palestine Arabs through Egyptian and Saudi-Arabian mediators. Their contents are not yet revealed but Egyptian political circles believe the essential point will be the establish- ment of a new Arab State.
Although French Cabinet Minis- ters have lately refused to make statements to the press on leaving the Rue Dominique, the "Paris Soir" believes that the measures de- cided upon were purely military, concerning the "line of defence” drawn by the Greek-Albanian fron- tier,
