The number of arrests and suicides here are report-
ed to be increasing daily,
The arrests are said to amount to several thousands, those arrested being mainly German refugees from Austria and Sudetenland, political figures and journalists.
It is
understood that no Jews
have been arrested.
The arrests were carried out by the Czech police under instruc- tions from the secret police.
