Budapest Sends Ultimatum

While the first men of the German army of occupa- tion, believed to total 200,000 men, were march- ing towards Slovakia, Hungarian troops yes- terday invaded Ruthenia.

It is stated that nearly 60,000 Hungarian troops are engaged in the operation and that they have al- ready penetrated to a depth of twenty miles on a wide front.

No resistance is being offered, the Czech troops having been given orders to withdraw, in ac- cordance with the terms of the Hungarian ulti- matum, which expired at 10 a.m. to-day (Hong Kong Time).
