ANTI-COMINTERN PACT SIGNED BY HUNGARY
Budapest, To-day.
The Anti-Comintern Pact was signed on behalf of Hungary yesterday by the Foreign Minister, Count Casky.
In a speech after the ceremony, Count Casky de- clared that Hungary's accession to the Pact was the result not only of her 20 years' fight against Bolshevism but also of her sincere friendship for Germany, Italy and Japan.
Since 1919, Hungary had been involved in a struggle against the clandestine influences of the Com- intern in international affairs.
The Pact was directed against no State but could simply be regarded as self-defence against improper in- terference in the internal affairs of signatory States.
GERMANY'S WELCOME Comintern methods of operating were various and powerful because they were international in charac- ter, and therefore successful fence against them could be built up only by co-operation between States.
