The provision of a national serve of switchgear transformers and other electrical equipment un- der the administration of the Cen- tral Electricity Board as a special A. R. P. measure, has been decided upon as the result discussions be- tween the Ministry of Transport and representatives of public util- ity undertakings.
This reserve will be, readily avail- able for replacement of machinery damaged by enemy action in timė of war.
Cost of the provision, estimated £3,000,000, will be met as to' one half by the Government and the other half will be borrowed by the Central Electricity Board.--British Wireless.
ANGLO-BULGARIAN TRADE CREDITS PARLEYS
London, Dec, 28. Changes in the Central European situation of late has brought about a great change in the bases of An- glo-Bulgarian negotiations for the grant of Credits. At the start of par- leys, British circles envisaged for- warding several million pounds sterling to meeting Bulgarian com- mercial and rearmament needs.
Now a much more modest plan, in- volving the grant of only £500,000 in credits destined exclusively to cover costs of railways material, is envisaged. Havas.
