300 PARIS CINEMAS CLOSE

Three hundred Paris cinemas will remain closed from this morn- ing at 10 o'clock until further no- tice.

This decision was taken at a meeting of cinema owners yester- day in protest against the new taxes while the Paris City Coun- cil intends to impose on cinemas.

Another meeting will be held this morning at which film producers and distributors will be present. They are reported to be prepared to announce their solidarity with cinema owners.-Trans-Ocean.
