Mr. Anthony Eden, former Foreign Secretary, may pos- sibly, meet President Roosevelt next month, according to well- informed circles here.

JAPANESE INTERFERENCE WITH SHIPPING

Mr. Moreing (Conservative, Preston) asked in the House of Commons yesterday what steps had been taken to remove the pressure which was being exercised by the Japanese authorities in North China upon Chinese firms to compel the latter to ship goods in Japanese or German ships instead of in British ships.
