Mention in despatches for Rear-Admiral R. V. Holt, Senior Naval Officer, Yangtse, and honours awarded other officers for gallantry during operations on the Yangtse last December, were notified in the “London Gazette” last night. Companion of the Distinguished Service Order is awarded to Captain G. E. M. O'Donnell, who was present in H.M.S. Ladybird during the Japanese bombing attack on British shipping at Wuhu on Dec. 5.
