LAST JOURNEY OF KEMAL ATATURK: FUNERAL AT ANKARA TO-DAY
Istanbul, Yesterday.
The coffin containing the mortal remains of President Kemal Ataturk, which will be transferred to Ankara for burial, was carried at 8.30 this morning by twelve generals from the throne room in Dolma- bagche Palace, where the body had lain in state since Thursday, and placed on a gun carriage.
The procession, headed by a general on horseback and by detachments of cavalry, infantry and marine fusiliers, then started for the Bos- phorus.
Six generals walked on either side of the gun carriage, which was immediately followed by members of Ataturk's family,
