Newspapers
Berlin, To-day.

COUNCIL OF GERMAN JEWRY ISSUE APPEAL
London, To-day.
་་
"Before it is too late we must save all whom it is possible to rescue, especially the young." declares an appeal by the Council for German Jewry.
The appeal is signed by leaders of the Jewish community, includ- ing Chief Rabbi Hertz, Lord Read- ing and Viscount Samuel.
Worldwide Jewish communities, it says, have raised great sums to assist migration, but resources are exhausted and now the need has become very great.-
Large sums, running into mil- lions, must be found.
The Council extends its appeal "for the first time" to members of non-Jewish communities.Reuter.
