The Chinese and the Filipino communities in the Colony have suffered a heavy loss by the passing of Mrs. Gertie Palomiqui at the Queen Mary Hospital yesterday, after a long illness.
Mrs. Palomiqui, who was -47 years of age, was the wife of Mr. Simon Palomiquí, well-known in the Filipino community.
Born in Thursday Island, Mrs. Palomiqui came to the Colony 25 years ago.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Rosita, and Mrs. Betty Thomas Wong, a son, Jamei, and a sister, Mrs. H. Yuen.
The funeral will take place to day at. 3 p.m.'
