GANDIA BY REBEL PLANES

London, To-day.

The steamer which was sunk during the last bom- bardment of the port of Gandia, south of Valen- cia, on Tuesday evening was, according to re- ports here, the British steamer "Dellwyn” which had been attacked by Nationalist bomb- ers already on Sunday night.

The crew of the steamer escaped unhurt and suc- ceeded in saving themselves. The ship carried a cargo of coal. According to other reports the crew of the ship was machinegunned by the air- raiders after the bombardment.

Official quarters here, however,

refuse to confirm these reports. They declare information

of much a machinegun attack had BARCELONA

been received by the authorities in London.
