An unique aerial accident is re- ported to have occurred during a fight between Japanese pursuit planes and Chinese bombers near Anking.

When the pilot of one Chinese bombing plane which was disabled

by the Japanese fighters tried to save his life by a parachute descent, a Japanese pursuit plane collided with the parachute tearing it, to pierces so that the Chinese airman hurtled to the ground with tremen- dous force, being killed instantane- ously.

The fragments of the destroyed parachute were found on the wings of the Japanese plane after landing."
