CAPTURE OF LERIDA Complete Occupation Claimed By Insurgents

Saragossa, To-day.

The insurgents completely occupied the town of

Lerida at 7 o'clock last evening.

Final occupation of the town was preceded in the afternoon by capture of the castle and railway station, following which insurgents tanks en- tered the streets for cleaning up operations.

The insurgents also took Pineir Mora, in Tarragona Province, and are now nearing Cherta, 16 miles from the sea.

From St. Jean de Luz, in France, it is reported that insurgent troops from Jaca, in North Catalonia, mov- ing parallel to the French frontier, have advanced, 90 miles without meeting serious opposition, and are now nearing the town of Ciella.

Radio Saragossa claims that the insurgents have captured 13,000 square miles of territory since the beginning of the Eastern offensive. --Reuter.
