France Examines Policy In Light Of British Action

Further details of what actually occurred at Tues- day's meeting of the Foreign Affairs Commit- tee of the French Chamber of Deputies, which was attended by the French Foreign Minister, M. Yvon Delbos, are published în “Le Journal.” According to this report, the Committee were in- formed by the Foreign Minister that Mr. Chamberlain's pronouncements in the House of Commons cannot be regarded as a direct at- tempt to create a four-Power pact but to aim at bringing about an understanding between the western Powers. M. Delbos then went on to draw attention to the reciprocal effect upor each other's domestic and foreign policy.
