PUPPET RESERVE BANK TO OPEN FOR BUSINESS IN PEIPING IN MARCH

Peiping, To-day The new Federal Reserve Bank was formally in- augurated yesterday, and will open for busi- ness on March 1, with Wang Keh-min, promin- ent member of the "provisional government,” as Governor.

Mr. Wang announced yesterday that half the share of the "provisional government" of the bank's capital was paid from a loan of $12,500,000 ne- gotiated with the Bank of Chosen, the Japan Industrial Development Bank and the Yoko- hama Specie Bank.
