HONG KONG'S PILGRIMAGE TO CENOTAPH IN SOLEMN REMEMBRANCE CEREMONIES

officiating Clergy and Regimental units, contribut ed to the spectacle afforded by the traditional solemn observance of Armistice Day, in which Hong Kong at the Cenotaph this morning before a large gathering of all communities, shared in Empire-wide ceremonies of remembrance.
THE ELABORATE CEREMONIAL CLOSELY FOLLOWED THAT OF PREVIOUS YEARS, AND, AS USUAL, UNITS FROM ALL SECTIONS OF THE FIGHTING SERVICES, GOVERNMENT AND CIVIL BODIES WERE IN ATTENDANCE, WHILE HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR AND COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF, SIR GEOFFRY NORTHCOTE, TOOK PART IN HIS FIRST OFFL CIAL FUNCTION SINCE HIS ARRIVAL HERE, BY LAYING THE OFFICIAL WREATH IN HONOUR OF THE FALLEN.
