London, To-day,

The imports advisory committe eyester- day published a report on the steel industry.

The publication arouses consider- able interest in the newspapers, since the report, issued in the form of a Blue Book; advocates further extension of the iron and steel in- dustry under State control.

The State could not decline responsibility for control of such an important industry protected by Customs duties, says the Blue Book.

Methodic safeguarding, concen- tration and development of the steel industry is the duty of the State, the report states. — Trans- Ocean.
