The statement by the Foreign Secretary, Mr. Anthony Eden, at question time in the House of Commons that Britain will not submit new propo- sals at the non-intervention committee meeting to-morrow, is interpreted to mean that as Britain produced proposals which Germany rejected, she will await a new suggestion.
A breakdown on Friday is not at present ex- pected in official circles in London.
