NO ENQUIRY ON LEIPZIG S INCIDENTS
London, To-day.
The Leipzig torpedo incident again came up for discussion in the House of Commons yester- day when Mr. F. Seymour Cocks (Labour, Broxtowe) inquired whether the British Government would ask that an investigation be carried out.
The Foreign Secretary, Mr. An- thony Eden, replied that the Bri- tish Government had proposed such an investigation but since the Ger- man Government rejected the pro- posal, the British Government did not see that useful results would be gained by pursuing it.
In reply to a further question whether the collaboration of the German Government in such an investigation would be neces sary, Mr. Eden declared that it was naturally necessary..
