THE BIG FOUR OF NEW CRISIS

The new crisis that has arisen in European politics as a result of the failure to reach an agreement on the measures to be taken as a result of the Leipzig Incident, may well depend upon the future conferences of these four statesmen, representatives of Britain, Germany, France and Italy, to whose hands the London negotiations are entrusted.

The King held a Levee at St. James's Palace yesterday morn- ing at which 900 persons wer present.

His Majesty wore the uni form of an Admiral of the Fleet and drove from Buckingham Palace in a closed car. He was cheered by crowds along the route.-Reuter.

Vienna, To-day. A trial which has caused sensation in Austria came to an end yesterday when Fritz Woits- che, an Austrian Nazi, was sen- tenced to twelve years' impri- sonment for a bomb outrage on a train.

The main charge against Woit- ache, that of plotting, to assassinate the Federal Chancellor, Dr. Kurt von Schuschnigg, will be the sub- ject of a later trial.

The prosecution will allege* that Woitsche, said to be the leader of a Nazi organisation in Lower Austria, planned to murder Dr. Schüschnigg while he was visiting his mother's grave.

The organisation of which he is stated to be the leader also planned to assassinate the Chancellor by dropping a bomb on the Chancellory in Vienna from an aeroplane.

A number of Woitsche's accom- plices were also on trial-Reuter,

New Soviet Stamp Issue

The Soviet Postal authorities have issued a set of new stamps, with pictures of the Palace of Soviets, Hotel Moscowet, Theatre of the Red Army and the Building of the Commissariat of Railways,

The Commissioner of Po- lice has banned all proces- sions in the East End of London, and has refused the application of the Union of Fascists to parade through the East End of the Jewish quarters on July 4-

The Commissioner Order was made under the Public Order Act, 1936, prohibiting political proces- sions in that area of the East End embracing the boroughs of Stepney, Bethnal Green, Poplar, Bow and Bromley, Shoreditch and parts of Finsbury, Hackney and Talington- Reuter.
