Valencia, To-day.

Seven members of the crew of a Cardiff steam- er were killed and eight injured, of whom three are expected to die, when the ship was hit by an insur- gent-bomb and sunk in Valencia harbour yester- day.

The number of dead in yesterday's air raid on Valencia is hitherto 37, all the bodies having been taken to the morgue.

The damaged buildings included the flat of the American consul, who was uninjured, as well as the house of a member of the British Embassy, who was absent at the time.

It was also revealed yesterday that six Italian officers on board the Italian auxiliary vessel Bar- letta were killed and others wounded in air raids on Palma on, May 24 and 26.

The British troops operating in the Waziristan sector on the North-West Frontier yesterday reached a cave where the Fakir of Ipi had recently hid himself with his followers and from where he directed the · hostile activities against the British authorities.
