Soviet Prepared To Support Armistice Plan

Western Pact Talks At Geneva.

Geneva, To-day.

The Franco-British declaration in regard to Belgium was discussed by the League Council meeting yes- terday evening.

Mr. Anthony Eden (British For- eign Secretary) and M. Yvon Delbos (French Foreign Minister) pointed out that they had not lost hope that a new Western Pact will be con- cluded to replace the machinery of Locarno.

Mr. Eden said he hoped the nego- tiations with Belgium,
