Dull weather with occasional drizzle marked the resumption of the
race meeting this afternoon, when, for the first time for many years, a band. that of the 1st. Bn. Seaforth Highlanders paraded on the course in front of the grand stand.
The Seaforths' band was pro- vided, it is understood, for the benefit of the younger generation, to-day being "Children's Day.”
