Sun Bonnets Made In Half An Hour

You

rot can run up these sun bonnets in half an hour LOT SOL You will need only half a yard of 36-inch material for each one. For the bonnet at the top of the page. fold your material with selvedges to- gether, and cut two pieces 15 inches long and 18 inches wide. one for the bonnet and one for the lining. This will be the right measurement for most children of nine years. It will suit the toddlers beautifully if the pattern is cut correspond- ingly smaller.

Place your two pieces of mater ial one on top of the other, right sides together, and tack along three sides, leaving the fourth side (at the back) still open

Now fold down the docted cen- tre line. shown in the diagram. At the back measure six inches in- wards from each, outer corner and cut out the square pieces, AA and EP, as shown in the diagram. Open out your material again, lay it flat and round off the corners at the front of the bonnet. -(See dotted lines in diagram) Finish tacking. still leaving the last side, open. Turn to right side and press.

For Neck Protection
