the Chinese Recreation Club do not win the Dunlop Mixed Doubles Tennis Shield this sea- son it will not be for want of practice. Yesterday all their three pairs played like machines to upset the favoured Kowloon Cricket Club "A" team by 8 sets to I in an encounter in which the winners' superiority was never doubted.

but I do not expect them to win unless very serious practice is put The lobbing of Mrs. Chi Chun Chix and the all-round game of W. C. Hung were the outstanding features yesterday. I have never seen Teddy Fincher play worse, and the result was that they visitors' No. 1 ranking pair secured only seven games in three sets!!
The CRC-USRC game will decide the championship and the odds are slightly in favour of the champions, though the Chinese have an exceptionally well balanced side.
