In playing the Dummy at dupil- cate, as I have pointed out before, one must very often risk losing a game in an attempt to squeeze out an extra trick or two. Sometimes the effort to sten! an extra trick is just an out and out gamble` in which the declarer is playing for a top or a bottom. However, there- are many times when the declarer must realise that it is practically compulsory for him to gamble for overtricks because he has Infinite- ly more to gain than to lose..
