A world agreement" on money and currency matters was forecast- ed by the US. Attorney-General, Mr. Homer S. Cummings in an ad- dress to the Supreme Court yester day in connection with the Norman case, an action brought against the Baltimore and Ohio Rallway to compel the Company to abide by the gold clause in its bonds.
Mr. Cummings asked the Court to uphold the law suspending gold paymente so that the United States would not be hindered in any conferences with other na tions.
He declared the time would come when the United States would confer with other na- tions with regard to monetary and currency matters, including fixing the value of the currency of the nations.
