It was reported to-day that Mata Hari, filly, present favourite | 'to win the sixtieth running of the Kentucky Derby, blazed a trial run over a mile in 1.39.1.

As a result of her performance, the filly became more promising than ever, despite the fact that nel since 1915 has a filty won the caveted Kentucky prize.

Mata Hari is expected to be at least 4 to 1 on Derby Day. despite the fact that she has been quoted at 10 to 1 in the

winter books.
