FIRST TIME IN SERIES'

London, Mar. 29. For the first time a woman is to be one of the crew of a British yacht challenging for the Ameri Jea's Cup.

She is Mrs. T. 0. M. Sopwith. wife of the owner of the Endea

vour, the all-steel yacht now being built at Gosport, Hampshire.

Mrs. Sopwith is to launch the Endeavour from Messrs. Camper and Nicholson's yard on April 16. Special trial races have been ¡planned.

There will be five races between the Endeavour and Velsheds, two in the open Channel near the Isle of Wight, two in Tor Bay, and one off Falmouth.

The courses for these races have! been planned to approximate the United States courses.
