NEW YORK YANKEES

WIN TWICE.

Senators In Battle Royal Against Browns..

INDIANS WIN.”.

New York, To-day. There was no play in the National League "yesterday.. but four games were played in the American League. including two double-headers.

The New York Yankees won both encounters against the White Sox, In spite of a brilliant home run by Kress in the latter game. McNair banged out a homer to give the Athletics, a good win over the Tigers in their first encounter, but they were forced to give ground in the second game, Roggell hitting

four-bagger to give the Tigers the verdict by a 10 to 7 margin.

The game between the Senators and the Browns went to the thir teenth innings before the Washing- ton side emerged victorious by 7) to 6 in one of the closest games of the season. The poor fielding of the Browns was largely respon sible for their success.

The following were the results of yesterday's games:-
