The theme of this film is that of a discontented youth who rebels against being tutored for a job of post-office clerk. He runs away from home and becomes in turn sailor, hotel porter, window-washer, cowboy and tobacconist's assistant. By this time, he has discovered something about himself; and so he turns playwright, with startling and romantic results.
Frederick Lonsdale, the noted English" playwright, made a special study of this versatile young actor, and as a result, wrote the story ex-
