Percy Allis (Beaconsfield), after breaking the course re cord with a 65 in the third round, won the Porthcawl Pro fessional Golf Championship here to-day when he returned cards for an aggregate score of' 278.
Arthur Padgham (Royal Ash- down Forest) was second with 279 whilst Henry Cotton returned 281 to come third.
During the third round the course was broken on three occasions. Archie Compston and Henry Cotton returned cards for 66 to break the exist ing course record, but their triumph was short-lived for Percy Allis brought in a card for 65 as the result of super golf.
