The cruel weather waterlogged the Stamford Bridge track, and turned the hurdle course into a quagmire, but it fail- ed entirely to damp the spirit of the Public Schools Sports. That spirit was never more buoyant than on Saturday afternoon.
It not only rose to really great racing, but even attacked records in the teeth of a driving rain, while the exciting under- tone of the school championship drummed up to a dramatic climax when, in the last event of the day, St. Lawrence drew level with Lancing 37 points each with Rossall and Fettes close up with 25% and 20 points respectively.
