The Public are hereby warned that in view of the passing of the Abnormal Importations Customs Duties Act, no guarantee can be given that any parcel will not be subject to Customs duty on arrival in the United Kingdom. The system of prepayment of Cus- toms duties in this office is cancelled until further notice except as regards parcels of silk of or under the value of £5-0-0 or its equivalent in dollars at the rate of the day. It will however be necessary in these cases to make a deposit against duty equal in amount to the declared value of the Parcel.
