The paper says that the merger, if concluded, will be the largest in the history of American shipping and will bring under one head companies operating from Atlantic and Pacific ports from the United States to Europe, the Orient and around the world, and also companies operating in the intercoastal trade.
It is expected that the Roosevelt and the Dollar interests will take the lend in the contemplated merger.
