KOWLOON CRICKET CLUB GO DOWN BEFORE

THE BOWLING GREEN

CRAIGENGOWER ROUTED.

HONG

MARGIN OF

KONG ELECTRIC LOSE BY BIGGEST THE

DAY

RECREIO'S FINE WIN.

Though the weather threatened to break at any moment no actual rain was encountered during yesterday afternoon when a full Lawn Bowls programme was carried through.

The surprise of the day was the defeat of the League leaders, the Kowloon Cricket Club, at the hands of the lowly placed Kowloon Bowling Green Club. The visitors were successful on all three rinks. Holding a comfortable, lead at the ninth head Roylance's rink suffered a check when Silkstone's rink returned a six. Though catching up considerably, Silkstone was unable to avoid defeat by two shots. A seven by Russell's rink at the fifth head sealed the doom of Hyde. Laye's rink and they never, recovered from the shock and went down by four shots,

Craigengower suffered their third reverse of the season when they went down before Kow. loon Docks, but they had the satisfaction of knowing that the leaders had also failed.

Taikoo crept up on Craigengower the expense of the Civil Service whom they defeated on two of the three rinks. Opening with a five Brawn's rink maintained their advantage and won the only Civil Service victory by four shots. A five at the fifth head placed Drummond's rink in the lead and they won comfortably. Ferguson's rink were ten shots down at the thirteenth head, but a five, backed up by consistent play, gave them a dramatic victory by two shots.

The Police Recreation Club have yet to register a win this season. Yesterday they went down before the Recreio by thirteen shots. Reynolds's rink were successful by three shots, but the athor rinks-went-down-bally--

The Second Division results were more or less expected. The Kowloon Bowling Green Club consolidated their position at the head of the table by defeating the Hong Kong Electric R.C. by a "cricket score.” Commencing with a six Drake's rink returned the highest rink win of the afternoon when they defeated Muskett's rink by 23 shots. A six at the second-head-gave Davidson's rink a comfortable victory over Deacon's rink.

Taikoo easily vanquished the Yacht Club, Duncan's rink returning the second biggest win of the äfternoon, 22 shots over Shields's rink. The Craigengower Cricket Club defented the K.C.C. by the The Civil Service found the Recreio narrow margin of four shots in an interesting encounter.

in very fine form and were, forced to concede a win on all three rinks. Ozorio's rink returned scores of 5 at the ninth head and at the seventeenth head to beat Hollands's rink comfortably.
