WINNERS OF ENGLISH CUP.
GREAT GAME AT WEMBLEY.
London, Saturday. Last year's gate for the final of the English Cup was easily eclipsed to-day at Wembley in the all-Birmingham final which was played between Birmingham and
West Bromwich Albion.
The match was a thrilling one throughout - quite up .to the standard of any previous final. Birmingham folk were there to a man, partisanship being at a very high pitch throughout. Sentiment generally was on the side of Birm- Ingham, whose name has yet to be engraved on the Cup; but theft elty opponents, the "Throstles," by no means lacked supporters who considered them quite capable of repeating their Cup success of as far back as 1892 when they beat Aston Villa at Kennington Oval by 3--1.
The result was:
West Bromwich Albion. 2 Birmingham

Canzoneri, by his victory, amply avenged himself for his defeat by Berg in January last, and, dashed his hopes of regain- ing a title for Britain with a smashing right cross to the jaw after 2 minutes, 23 seconds of fighting in the third round.
Canzoneri took the offensive from the start, raining a tatton of blows to the head and body with both fists,
