AIM OF ATHLETICS.
"It's an ill wind that blows nobody any good" remarked the Hon. Mr. W. 'E. L. Shenton, when speaking before the students at the prize distribution following the St. Stephen's College Annual Athletic Sports held at Stanley on Satur- day, "for," he added, "if the weather was not everything to be deaired from the spectators' ́ point of view, there was little doubt that It improved conditions for the com- petitora. In concluding, ha con- gratulated the winners and said that the true aim of sports was not to train for the sake of the prize, but to keep oneself bodily.
