Reprimand for Nine Men.

The nine men who, on August 2. refused to embark on the Vestal at Cowes in order to effect the month- ly relief of the Calshot Spit, War- ner, Owers, and Royal Sovereign Light-vessels are' to be reprimand.. ed. and to lose a year's seniority. This decision was made in a report Issued by the Industrial Court, who had to consider "whether the men's refusal was justified and, if not, what disciplinary action would be fair and adequate in the circum- stances."

.

Reviewing the dispute, the re- port states that the relief date for these light-vessels is the second of the month, but when the day falls on a Saturday It is customary, sub- ject to the exigencies of the ser- vice. to defer the relief to the August 2 fell following Monday.
